I did my graduation from JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 1978 and obtained MD Radiology degree from SN Medical College, Agra University, Agra in 1981. Subsequently joined Central Health Services, Govt. of India. After serving for 38 years superannuated as Additional Director General Health Services, Govt. of India. During the service I worked in different central governmental organizations in various capacities including Prof and Head, Dept. of Radiodiagnosis, VMMC and Safdarjung hospital, New Delhi. I have been guide and co- guide of post graduate students and PhD scholars in various disciplines of medicine. I have been examiner for post graduate examinations of various universities and National board of Examinations and also of technical courses in the field of radiology. I have been advisor/selector to various institutions and organizations.  I have large number of national and international publications.I have also been in the editorial board of various journal.  I have also been awarded WHO and JICA fellowships in Thailand and Japan. I have been awarded Fellowship of Indian College of Radiology and Imaging. I have also been President of Delhi state chapter of IRIA and also Vice president of National body of IRIA. I have been vice chairman of Indian College of Radiology And Imaging.
